First and foremost we whole heartedly hope you and yours are riding out this storm in safety and relative comfort. Our sincerest heartfelt wishes go out to those severely impacted by this catastrophe.
As long as capacity allowances stay at 50% or higher, the 2021 event will take place. If it drops below 50%, we would have to postpone for a second year. You can be sure that after we’ve all been cooped up for so long, for our 25th anniversary event we will be pulling out all the stops to ensure that the next Halloween Ball will be one for the record books.
Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to COVID-19 and its varients
The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. By entering the venue and/or the event, you (a) acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death, (b) voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expenses, of any kind (“Claims”), that you may experience or incur, and (c) hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the venue, event promoter(s), vendor(s), and each of their respective parents, members, partners, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, and landlords and their respective officers, directors, and employees from Claims of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
For Our Part:
By having the event at AREA15 we have the distinct opportunity to host a hybrid indoor and outdoor event. The indoor part of the facility (The Portal) has a capacity of 800 and boasts the most incredible video and lighting capabilities in Las Vegas. The outdoor area (A-Lot), which connects directly to indoor area, will be almost entirely enclosed by the time of our event, but is being retro- fitted in such a way as to still qualify as an outdoor facility. It has a capacity of 3500, and is the main event area for the Ball. WHAT THIS MEANS is that if you are uncomfortable being in a crowded indoor area, there is the opportunity for you to be in an outdoor style setting all night if you choose, without missing a beat.
ADDITIONALLY, while the capacity of the event facility is 4300, we have limited ticket sales to 2600, so no matter what, there will be plenty of room for spacing.
FINALLY, we will be abiding by any mask requirements which may be mandated at the time of the event.
For Your Part:
For entry to the Ball ALL attendees are required to either:
A) Provide proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In order to be considered “fully vaccinated” you must receive your final vaccine dose 14 days prior to your entry date*. We will be accepting the same CLEAR Health Pass being utilized by the Las Vegas Raiders, and many other sports teams and event producers. It is a free app and is easy to set up, Apple users click HERE, Android users click HERE to check it out and to get started.
B) Provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. Negative test must be obtained within the 72 hours leading up to the Halloween Ball. Ticket holders may be tested Thursday, October 28th, Friday, October, 29th, or Saturday, October 30th for their negative result to be honored.
*If you choose to get the Pfizer vaccine, you must receive your first dose no later than Friday, September 24th to remain on schedule. The deadline for the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is Friday, October 15th. Find a vaccine location today at Vaccines.gov/search
We ask that you not attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:
• Within 14 days before attending the Ball you have tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;
• Within 48 hours prior to attending the Ball, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention);
• Within 14 days prior to attending the Ball, you have travelled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.
All policies subject to change.
We thank you all for your support of the BALL and look forward to seeing your happy, healthy faces at our event, be it sooner or later. In the mean time, please take precautions, stay healthy, be kind, and be well!!
